ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Buchi was born in and spent his early years in India. He completed his undergraduate and master’s degrees in India, and earned his Ph.D. in Economics at Indiana University, Bloomington. For ten years after that he was an academic. He subsequently moved into Banking.


Buchi lives in New Jersey with his wife

and his dog, Pax, who is his writing companion. He has a son who serves

as his advisor on all matters historical.

The story presented in this book draws from the middle ages of South India. It is the story of the establishment of the Vijayanagara empire. While told in the form of a fictional narrative, it keeps true to a large number of chronological markers.

a period of flux. Moreover, it is a story of the interaction between exceptional people.
